Further progress has been theoretical principles on the use of teaching local history in the development of national higher education and formation of teachers, attracting talented young people into active research. Theoretical significance of the results of the study is that the scientific revolution of national pedagogy introduced and neglected archival sources that describe the formation and development of teaching local history in Ukraine factual material and guidelines and research findings will contribute to the enrichment of historical and pedagogical knowledge sources, the abovementioned problem and the addition of new materials for understanding, comprehension and analysis of content and pedagogical value of local lore, the theoretical foundations and prerequisites of teaching local history in Ukraine, a complete and integrated playback features of educational thought and history of national education region in the context of national approaches to identify further areas of teaching local history . Scientific results of the study were the basis for the development strategy of teaching local history in the development of a national high school. Collected, analyzed, referrals and research results were used in reading courses pedagogy, history of pedagogy, ethnology, national history, special courses on the development of education, signing books, textbooks and other educational materials, contributed to the creative use of historic domestic educational experience in today's restructuring of Ukrainian education, particularly in the modeling of educational content the modern Ukrainian universities.
