Kulish, I. Franko, M. Yatskiv and a number of other contemporary writers. By the research theme 6 individual scientific monographs based on investigations of Ukrainian diaspora writers' works (E. Andiyevs'ka, N. Livyts'ka-Kholodna), representatives of Western Ukrainian modernist literature (M. Yatskiv) have been prepared and published. The biographically-cultural and comparative studies on highlighting life and creativity of Ukrainian writers in the Slavic context (P. Kulish, L. Glibov, Y. Slovatsky); the hermeneutic researches on textbook writers texts of ХІХ-ХХ centuries (T. Shevchenko, I. Franko, P. Tychyna, Y. Malaniuk, B. I. Antonych, V. Stefanyk) and 20 anthologies, collections of essays and literary criticism, bibliographic indices have been carried out. The implementation of this scientific theme has allowed to highlight an objective scientific picture of the development of ideological and artistic tendencies and trends in the literature of this period, to reveal the role of each writer personality in the literary process.
