Based on the results of the study in 171 AML patients, the diagnostic algorithm was delineated comprising basic clinical-hematological and morphocytological, cytochemical and immunocytochemical features of pathological cells and molecular-genetic peculiarities for detection of specific chromosomal abnormalities underlying AML forms with varying clinical patterns and different prognosis. The diagnostic algorithm of the primary diagnostics of CML and differential diagnosis between CML and other CMPD was realized in 27 and 21 cases, respectively.
