The purpose of research is to carry out experimental testing of strength, brake, dynamic features, geometry design characteristics of the open-top wagon and the hopper wagon intended for grain and other food bulk cargoes and to assess the compliance of observed values with applicable regulations and engineering data. There are the experimental research results of strength, brake, dynamic characteristics of open-top wagon, model 12-9880 and hopper wagon, model 19-9882 for grain and other food bulk cargoes presented in this report. Resolution on compliance of results with standards and regulations is made. Research results are applicable to serial preproduction of open-top wagon, model 12-9880 and hopper wagon, model 19-9882 for grain and other food bulk cargoes.
