The object of investigation - the soils of Ukraine, parameters of humus accumulation intensity and their relation to environmental conditions. The purpose of investigation - to carry out a system of diagnosing suitability of environmental conditions for gardening by parameters of humus accumulation intensity. Methods of investigations - comparative geography, profile and analytical. Using of humus content as an indicator of environmental conditions suitability for the plants are validated. The influence of different levels of ground water on the parameters of humus accumulation intensity in semihydromorphic soils are determined. A system for diagnosing the suitability of environmental conditions for gardening by parameters of humus accumulation intensity is carried out.
