Study aim: to analyze probable radiation induced features of cancer risk realization among sufferers following the Chernobyl catastrophe for 25-year-old post-accident period. Study methods: epidemiological, statistical and program-mathematical. Cancer incidence study of main population groups exposed with Chernobyl factors displays peculiarities of cancer incidence rate and dynamics. There is a significant increase absolute risk of of thyroid cancer incidence among the three major groups (clean-up workers - in 5,0 times, evacuees - in 4,3 times, residents of the contaminated territories - in 1,3 times), possibly due to radioiodine irradiation of this organ. Breast cancer incidence increase is observed, especially in female clean-up workers of 1986-1987 years (1994 -2010 years SIR = 164,3%, 95% CI: 145.3 - 183.4). Because certain types of solid tumors after radiation have different latency period of the occurrence, there is a need for further monitoring of cancer with special attention paid to such diseases as cancer of the esophagus, stomach, lung, colon cancer (ободова кишка), breast cancer, kidney, bladder, multiple myeloma. Considerable attention should be paid to those groups of the population who during the Chernobyl accident were age 0-19 years old. This allows you to assess the risks of cancer in remote post-accident period. On the basis of research where prepared a memorandum and a information letter regarding the patterns of morbidity and risk of malignancies in a population that has suffered as a result of the Chernobyl disaster, in remote post-accident period. Fields of use: establishments of Health Ministry of Ukraine, Emergency Situation Ministry, National Commission of Population Radiation Protection of Ukraine. Application. An information letter was developed; 34 articles were published. The results were reported on international and national conferences.
