The research objects are the dynamics of the social processes in Ukraine from the second half of the 1950s till the middle of the 1960s; the scientific works of V.Vernadskyi; the Kurenivska tragedy in Kyiv in 1961. The goal of the research is to analyze social transformations which were evident amoung main social groups and strata in the conditions of liberalization of social and political life. The major research methods are anthropocetric, problem-chronological, comparative and interdiscinlinary. The results of the research are monographies "Social transfomations in the UkrSSR (the middle of the1950-s - the first half of the1960-s)", "The historian Volodymyr Holobutsky (1903-1993): the life, scientific and pedagogical activity", "The religios consciousness of believers of Ukrainian SSR (1940s-1980s): manifestations, transformations", chapters in the books, and articles in the scholar journal " Ukraine of the XX-th century: culture, ideolody, politics", the collection of documents "Kurenivska tragedy in Kyiv in 1961: preconditions, circumstances, consequences", the book "Selected scientific works of academician V.I.Vernadsky. Vol.1. Volodymyr Ivanovych Vernadsky and Ukraine". In general, the volume of 173,38 printed sheets was published during the period under report.
