A comprehensive clinical and neuropsychological investigation was carried out in 191 elderly patients with ischemic stroke and 78 patients with dyscirculatory encephalopathy 1-2 stage (control group). It was determined that in patients with depression and dyscirculatory encephalopathy cerebral hemodynamic and brain activity changes compared to those without depression occur in the right and left hemisphere. In patients with depression after ischemic stroke in the right hemisphere slightly more pronounced changes in cerebral blood flow and cerebral electrogenesis than patients with stroke in the left hemisphere and depression
