According to the virological and bacteriological tests results representative groups of children with isolated rotavirus, norovirus, adenovirus gastroenteritis were detected as well as with bowel diseases caused by associations of viral or viral-bacterial pathogens. The degree of severity of viral or viral-bacterial gastroenteritis, likely to depend on the age of the children. Intensive viruses replication in the epithelium of the small intestine inducted a significant increase levels of interferons, secretory immunoglobulins in fecal filtrate, whereas in intestinal infections caused by viral and bacterial associations the levels of these cytokines was significantly decreased. On quantitative study of levels of pathogenic intestine flora and determine the levels of free fatty acids in the feces revealed a high frequency dysbiotic disorders, it severity correlated with disease severity. Apply the treatment: absorbents, probiotics, zinc supplementation for infants with viral gastroenteritis contributed faster recovery, faster decreasing the duration hyperthermia, diarrhea & symptoms of intoxication.
