The analytical approach for the determination the stress concentration factor in the elastic case is developed for axially symmetric model of pipeline. Conclusion about ability of the application the limit plastic state models for substantial levels of the applied nominal loads is deduced as a result of the numerical simulation of the pipeline stress state for elasto-plastic case. Based on the above investigation, the procedure for technical state estimation and recommendations for safe operation of the pipeline in the zone of coal mines are formulated
