The aim of the investigation: to study peculiarities of clinical-neurological impairments in patients after ischemic stroke and to define a role of humoral inflammatory factors in the pathogenesis and prognosis in order to improve measures for treatment and prevention. On the base of an integrated investigation performed it was demonstrated an important role of inflammation in the ischemic stroke pathogenesis and prognosis. The highest parameters of inflammation (hfCRP, fibrinogen, cytokines) are pointed out in the atherothrombotic subtype of stroke. It was revealed a direct correlation between levels of inflammatory markers and a stroke severity, and risk factors (hypercholesterolemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking, carotid stenosis). It was demonstrated that in the recovery period a decreasing of inflammatory marker levels occurred, which was less significant in atherothrombotic stroke. All of these reflect a level of a system inflammatory reaction and conditions of a prothrombotic threat. In was determined an influence of statins, antithrombotic medications (Disgren, Vessel-Due) on inflammatory markers and a vascular wall of internal carotid artery.
