For quantitative description of dry adhesion phenomenon in the region of the gap, the Maugis-Dugdale model of intermolecular interaction has been utilized. For description of capillary adhesion, the Laplace equation defining pressure jump in a liquid (concentrated in the gap ends) and a gas (in the central region of the gap) in terms of surface tension of the liquid and height of the meniscus has been used. The method of solving elastic contact problems formulated on the basis of such a model has been developed. It consists in reducing the contact problems to a singular integral equation for a height of the intercontact gap, which has been solved analytically. For evaluation of widths of the gap and the adhesion zone, a system of two transcendental equations has been obtained. A numerical algorithm has been proposed for its solving. Utilizing the proposed approach, analytical-numerical solutions to new adhesive contact problems for bodies with grooves of various shape have been constructed, and the contact interaction between such bodies has been investigated on this basis. In particular, the dependences of geometric parameters of the intercontact gap and the adhesion zones as well as a pressure in the gap on a value of normal load, liquid surface tension and amount of the gas in the gap have been analyzed.
