The data were collected on the composition of plant communities and population status of vascular plants in the area of Argentine and Southern Shetland Islands. Colonization zones of Antarctic vegetation were determined depending on gradient of environmental conditions in direction from the oceanic coast to the edge of glacier. DNA markers for assessing genetic heterogeneity of vascular plants in Maritime Antarctic was studied.
