The object of this study is problem areas of scientific support of competition policy. Through the study were analyzed the features of programming in the scientific support of competition policy, emphasized criteria of efficiency, effectiveness, selection and actuality of research area and considered institutional support of scientific researches in the field of competition policy and law. Investigated modern trends of competition policy implementation by some countries, and major activities of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for 2014 - 2024 years. According to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine were identified priority research areas and developed draft Program of scientific support of competition policy for 2014 - 2018 years.
