Ivchenco popup.description2 Research object: turbofan engine (TFE) Work Objectives : - to develop a preliminary design of engine with using latest scientific, engineering and technological solutions for supporting the development of a new generation engine rated at power from 6,500 to 9,000 kgf;. - to conduct studies on the development of a technology advance to improve effectiveness of design solutions; - to develop and research the advanced design solutions which provide the expected high technical characteristics to the scientific and technical products currently under design by using test rigs and engine prototypes; - to create and develop advanced production processes for a domestic manufacture of high-loaded parts for aero engines. The above work was completed in accordance with the planned schedule appended to Agreement No. 41 dated 06.12.2012. Research methods In accordance with the planned schedule the works were conducted in two stages. The following documents were developed at Stage 1: - technical requirements to a turbofan engine rated in class of power from 6,500 to 9,000 kgf meant for advanced versions of A/Cs; - package of documents for TFE preliminary design. The following works were executed at Stage 2: - combined experimental and research works on test rigs and engine prototypes were performed for testing the new design solutions; - new advanced production processes offering the implementation of advanced design solutions into production were developed; -experimental and engineering tests were completed for the development of new production processes and special equipment required for a high effective serial production of advanced TFE.; - basic engineering and methods for increasing effectiveness of the design solutions in the field of aerodynamics, strength, heat resistance, maintainability of modern engines were developed as based on the latest scientific achievements. Theoretical and practical results achieved during research The design and development work resulted in: - creation of a configuration of TFE meant for use as integrated in a powerplant of A/Cs of a new generation; - theoretical and experimental perfection of the key methods applied to design and production, the advanced production processes; - experimental verification of the latest design solutions and research of new production processes and special equipment to support a production of TFE of a new generation. Novelty and innovation effectiveness The developed TFE features a fuel effectiveness improved by 10 to 17% as compared with the existing domestic and foreign engines of the same class, a noise level not less than by 1 to 12 EPNdB lower than adopted in ICAO Section 4, and a margin of 29 to 37% with respect to ICAO noxious emissions. Field of application The developed TFE is meant for fitting to A/C of a new generation. Conclusion: The results achieved should be used on further stages of the advanced turbofan engine development: design, preproduction engineering, manufacture of prototypes, experimental and development tests, flight tests and serial production; the next stages will proceed with the design and development work titled "The Development and Serial Production of Turbofan Engine for Advanced Versions of A/Cs."5481 Product Description popup.authors Борісов В.С.
