Object of study - passenger compartment car № 032-15985 registered at Zhitomir railway mechanic-repair works (PMPZ) of railway industrial service of State Territorial-branch Association "South-western railway" to determine if its further operation is possible. The vans served the specified service life of 28 years from the date of building out. Object of work - carrying technical diagnosis of the passenger car out in order to determine the possibility of their further operation. Technical diagnosis of the vans was carried out according to documents developed and approved at GP "UkrNIIV". Research work results are used for solving the question concerning extension of guard's vans service life.
