Object of study- passenger cars (compartment and passenger cars), baggage cars, cars for special contingent and service-technical cars of the Passenger Branch Service of the State Territorial- Branch Association "South-Western Railway", which served specified lifetime - 28 years from the date of building. Object of work - determination of possible passenger cars service life extension. Technical diagnosis of the cars carried out according to "Technical diagnosis method for passenger cars, which served specified lifetime with a purpose of its extension. ЦЛ-0070 approved by UkrZaliznytsya order№ 304-Ц from 25 of June 2008. Research work results are used when solving a question about extension of passenger cars operation.5481
