Results of the study are presented in monograph "Genesis and the ways of development of the Russian and Ukrainian philosophical thought" (27 p.s.) (Poltava: ООО "АSМІ", 2013) and 23 articles (17,5 p.s.) published in periodicals. 11 articles are international (2 of them are published in Poland, Krakow; 8 - in Russia (Ivanovo, Kursk, Moscow, Orel); 1 - in Kazakhstan, Almati). The participants of the project have taken part in 15 conferences by presenting 31 reports; most of the conferences were international. During the third year of the project, the subject matter of study comprised the following themes: methodological background of historical and philosophical cognition, trends of the Russian and Ukrainian philosophy (sophiology, existentialism, personalism, religious philosophy, moral and political philosophy, philosophy of psychology); philosophical legacy of the M.A. Berdyayev, S.М. Bulgakov, М.A. Voloshin, І.V. Kiryeyevsky, F. Prokopovitch, G.S. Skovoroda, V.S. Solovyov, P.A. Florensky, S.L. Frank, A.S. Khomyakov, G.І. Chelpanov, G.G. Shpet. Employed in historical and philosophical study, a synthetic semiotic analysis constituted a new approach to the subject. The traditional interpretation of a text as an encoded written message gave place to a new way of viewing a text as an artifact of culture. This new stance enabled the researchers to use both verbal (manuscripts and printed texts) and non-verbal (architecture, pieces of art) resources, while giving an in-depth look onto the trends of Russian and Ukrainian philosophy development.
