Aim of investigation: to investigate peculiarities of hormonal and metabolic disturbances in aged T2D patients in dependence from the level of insulinemia and to substantiate pharmacotherapeutical approaches to treatment of patients with regard of these peculiarities. Methods: clinical, biochemical, hormonal, genetical, statistical. Results: it was revealed that in T2D patients, levels of gonadal and pituitarical androgens decrease in parallel with ageing and SHBG increase. Increase of saturated fatty acids and decrease of unsaturated fatty acids in T2M patients was shown. Rise of uric acid production was shown to be a useful marker of dismetabolic iron overload syndrome (DIOS). Interrelations between nucleotide repeats in androgen receptor gene and insulin supplying were examinated. Negative influences of decrease of serum insulin on the state of bones and joints, and on psycho-somatic depressing manifestations in T2M patients were revealed. The results allowed to develop a number of criterions for clinical and laboratory diagnostics and to formulate practical recommendations concerning of therapy of investigated disturbances in different stages of disease.
