Laser irradiation allows the variations of technological factors and processing conditions cooling samples to adjust the relative content of nanocrystalline intermetallic phases in the surface layers of alloys, the degree of crystallinity of these phases and relief. Recorded that laser pulse irradiation of zirconium alloys leads to the formation of amorphous phases and a significant decrease in the concentration of inclusions of intermetallic compounds in the surface layer.
