Results of the species composition analysis, age structure and viability of trees and shrubs in the park named after A.P. Chekhov in the city of Khartsyzk are provided. Scientific, environmental, ecological, aesthetic, educational, cultural and recreational value of the park plantations is considered. The recommendations for the maintenance and caring for the plantations within the park, which has the status of the monument of landscape art, are represented. Results of the research work are summed up.
