Research Object: Processes and phenomena of channel flow within river and gulley watersheds; key processes and factors of peak channel discharges upon both spring inundations caused by snowmelt and summer floods caused by rainfalls. Subject of Development: Applied methods for distributed hydrological modeling and other distinctive features of hydrological modeling in the GIS shell for both spring and summer peak channel discharges simulation; functionality and graphic user interface scheme of the distributed hydrological modeling software. Research Goal: Research and analysis of the main impact factors of both spring inundation and summer rainfall peak channel discharges; description and implementation of the applied methods for distributed hydrological modeling in the GIS shell for both spring and summer peak channel discharges simulation through the elaboration of the GIS-modeling module scheme for the GIS-platform.Research Results: Author's original research approach towards peak channel discharges simulation; the structure and input parameters for the channel discharge distributed hydrological models in the case of both spring inundations and summer floods; the functionality and the graphic user interface software scheme for the distributed hydrological modeling. Research and Development Methods: Hydrologic-geomorphic modeling methods, hydrological and hydrographic calculating methods; all methods implemented in algorithmic environment of Microsoft Visual .NET development tools.
