On the basis of obtained results preliminary conclusions were made. For the duration of the work is expected to carry out long-term autoclave tests of 7500 hours, which probably will allow to predict the corrosion rate of zirconium alloys in the transition to high burnup/extended fuel cycle. Analytical studies have shown that the quantity, quality, and a list of chemical agents that are used in Ukrainian VVER reactors for maintaining the primary water chemistry, have a potential risk of environmental contamination with long-lived high-energy beta- and gamma-isotopes of biologically-active chemical elements and in this respect, certainly inferior to foreign analogues.
