popup.description2
Data on the corrosion kinetics of E110 alloy after exposure of 4000 hours in VVER-1000 primary coolant at temperature 350°C and pressure 16.5 MPa with varying concentrations of alkali elements were processed and analyzed. On the basis of obtained results preliminary conclusions were made. For the duration of the work is expected to carry out long-term autoclave tests of 7500 hours, which probably will allow to predict the corrosion rate of zirconium alloys in the transition to high burnup/extended fuel cycle. Analytical studies have shown that the quantity, quality, and a list of chemical agents that are used in Ukrainian VVER reactors for maintaining the primary water chemistry, have a potential risk of environmental contamination with long-lived high-energy beta- and gamma-isotopes of biologically-active chemical elements and in this respect, certainly inferior to foreign analogues.
