The databases of DNA sequences (and techniques) Blast and Q-bank and protocols recommended for sequencing of marker DNA loci of the regulated harmful fungi from the Q-bank database were examined. The EPPO protocols for harmful fungi and nematodes were worked up. The techniques for detection of harmful organisms that have been published in scientific journals but not validated by EPPO departments or Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority were found and elucidated
