Aim of the paper - studying the psychological specialties of an individual's metamemory monitoring influence on the predicative validity of memorizing, retrieving and storage of the learning material in the higher educational establishments' students. Implementing the research results to the learning process. Research Methods and Apparatus: theoretical and methodological, empirical (psychometric methods, experiment, etc.), mathematics and statistics (rankings, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, analysis of variance, etc.), six PCs equipped by SPSS 21 IBM Statistics for statistical computing and E-Prime 2.0 Professional Single for programming and conducting experiments. Results and novelty: scientific novelty lies in the facts that for the first time at the domestic space were explored different metamemory judgments and its peculiarities as a means to optimize memorization of educational information; were characterized the psychological characteristics that are the causes of distortion of information in students' meta-level; were improved scientific and methodological approaches and were systematized ways to explore metamemory abilities, on which findings we based our recommendations for optimizing the learning process; was developed and approbated a comprehensive program of developing of metamemory skills for students of higher educational establishments. Degree of implementation: defended PhD thesis and 3, which were approved as part of the studied problems; defended 5 and 17 master's theses, published 1 educational handbook and 2 pieces of methodological recommendations; prepared for publishing educational manual "Psychology of metamemory", which will be submitted for consideration to obtain MON fret board; published 2 professional collections of articles, published 63 research papers, took part in 17 conferences (9 international format, 4 of which were held abroad); conducted two conferences: the International Internet Conference in Recent Advances of Cognitive Psychology (IICRACP-2012) and Ukrainian Conference in Recent Advances of Cognitive Psychology (UCRACP - 2013); supplemented and updated courses (54 hrs.) for 8 disciplines and developed 2 new laboratory work (16 hrs.) for 2 disciplines. Carried out research trials in order to determine effectiveness of development research to improve the efficiency of metamemory monitoring on the first and final stages of the project and implemented the results in educational process at three higher educational establishments (NaUOA, RSHU and ENU of L.Ukrainki) and individual work on extra classes with students (PP "Psychological and Linguistic Centre Alpha-Europe"). The significance of the work and conclusions: The study of these problems helped to work out the theoretical findings and empirical results and to develop a set of recommendations and guidelines of the educational process with the purpose of optimizing and improving learning the information by students. The use of guidelines and a comprehensive program of metamemory abilities allow to optimize the educational process and to improve interaction "teacher-student"; and also to trace deficiencies in preparation of specialists in higher educational establishments under the ECTS system.
