From the analysis of literature data it follows that the implantation of oxide film and deposition of modified zirconia are the most effective means to protect zirconium alloys from high-temperature oxidation and improve their corrosion resistance. The rate of formation of the oxide is reduced with introduction of elements of oxide film of group 5 and above. The corrosion resistance of zirconium is improved. The approbation by spraying ZrO2 AIR was done. Samples were obtained coated ZrO2. ZrO2 deposition rate of 1 micron / min at a distance of 250mm was reached. It makes possible to rely on the industrial application of this method for the application of protective coatings on large- products with high performance. Stand for high corrosion tests of zirconium samples in a controlled atmosphere was designed, manufactured and assembled. Developed technologies of Surface modification zirconium products will lead to improved mechanical properties (strength increases while maintaining ductility), improves the corrosion resistance and reduce the level of hydrogenation.
