The purpose of the work is a development of didactical and methodical approaches to constructing content of teaching foreign languages to pupils of 10-11th forms of profile school, selection of methods, forms and means of its introduction into school practice in accordance with level studies. Research methods are: theoretical (analysis of scientific literature, syllabi, textbooks and manuals on subject; study and generalization of experience in teaching foreign languages in general educational establishments); empiric (conversations with teachers and pupils, questionnaire, pedagogical supervision, modulation, diagnosing); experimental (approbation of theoretical statements, described in the chapters of collective methodical manual and methodical recommendations). Scientific findings: didactic-methodical approaches to constructing content of level teaching foreign language to pupils of upper (profile) school, peculiarities of upper schoolchildren's independent work on a foreign language; scientifically theoretical approaches to constructing elective courses as a base component in profile teaching foreign language to pupils of upper school are determined; methodological bases of the system of teaching a foreign language to upper school pupils, psychological features of mastering a foreign language by upper schoolchildren; peculiarities of upper school pupils' professional orientation on the lessons of foreign language; peculiarities of foreign language lesson's content in upper school are investigated; a conception of level teaching foreign language to pupils of 10-11th forms of upper school, a conception of textbooks for the level teaching foreign languages, content of portfolio as a component in the system of monitoring educational achievements in foreign language of upper schoolchildren, content and procedure for conducting monitoring of educational achievements in foreign language to pupils of profile school are worked out; the peculiarities of using communicative-active approach to teaching a foreign language to pupils of upper school are revealed; culturological and situational direction of content in teaching a foreign language to upper pupils is characterized; innovative pedagogical technologies in teaching a foreign language to pupils of upper forms are ascertained; theoretical approaches to constructing content of teaching a foreign language to upper pupils, described in materials of a methodical manual and nauchno-methodical recommendations are approbated; a collective nauchno-methodical manual "Linguodidactic bases of teaching foreign language to upper forms pupils of general educational establishments" is published; a manuscript of methodical recommendations "Profile teaching a foreign language to pupils of upper school" is prepared; 57 scientific articles and 15 theses are published. The scientific novelty of the achieved results is: a) in a theoretical grounding and development of the scientific approaches to constructing content of teaching a foreign language to pupils of 10-11th forms of general educational establishments, which is based on statements of communicative-active, personality oriented and culturological approaches and foresees forming communicative competence for the pupils, takes into account their personality orientation to the prospects of future professional activity and promote perfection of their scholarship level, development and breeding; b) in determination of methods, forms and means of content introduction in school practice in accordance with level studies and taking into account individual features, interests, capabilities, inclinations, motives and necessities of pupils for forming clear orientation on a certain type of future professional activity, related to the foreign language. Efficiency of implementation: during three years 76 results of research and development work are implemented in educational practice of general educational establishments of Ukraine: scientific products (1 monograph), educational products (14 textbooks and train aids in Spanish and German languages, 1 syllabus in foreign languages), electronic resources (19), expert conclusions (33), recommendations of international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences (8), and others like that.
