The object of study is the process of using of the country's economic potential. The goal is to make theoretical and methodological research of evaluation of criteria and mechanism for application of components of economical potential. Research methods are methods of synthesis, aggregation, grouping, historical and logic, analogy, induction and deduction. As a result of work on the first stage and cathedral complex theme it was generalized the approaches to the essence and nature of economic potential, it was described the structure of economic potential and its components The mechanism of tackling the problem of effective use of components of the economic potential of the country was grounded, it was conducted theoretical and methodological research of criteria for evaluating of the effectiveness of components of the economic potential.
