The object of study is the process of using of the country's economic potential. The aim of the study is to assess the economic efficiency of use of potential of Ukraine and the development of strategic directions for further development. Research methods are methods of system-structural analysis, comparative and functional analysis, synthesis, economical and mathematical statistics, aggregation, grouping, measuring. As a result of the development of the third phase of the cathedral complex theme it was evaluated the economic potential of regions of Ukraine, Theoretical and methodological basis of modeling of processes of the functioning and development of the economic potential on the regional and national levels are developed, the main methodological approaches to strategy of implementation of economic potential of the country and assessment of its effectiveness are proposed.
