The object of study is the process of using of the country's economic potential. The aim of study is to develop theoretical, methodological and methodical provision of scientific and practical recommendations for improving of the efficiency of economic potential of the country. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the dialectical method of cognition, the methods of system-structural analysis, comparative and functional analysis, synthesis, economical and mathematical statistics, aggregation, grouping, analogies, dialectical, measurement, prediction. Practical results are using mathematical methods design solutions to the problem of model selection of development of regions of Ukraine are proposed. Scientific novelty of the results: depth of methodological principles of evaluation of the economic potential of the country; they are proposed and grounded directions of forming of environment for more efficient use of economic potential of the country; The mechanism of state regulation of the play of economic potential of the country is developed. The main results are used: by Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine; Zaporizhzhya Regional State; Department of Strategic, Economic Development and Regulatory Affairs Department of Economy and Health Division of Executive Committee of Berdyansk Town Council, National Academy of Sciences by Institute of Industrial Economics, Department of Culture and Tourism of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, SREI of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
