The research aim was to study cryosensitivity of placental mesenchymal stem cells. In the work there were used modern research methods: cultural, histological, biochemical, flow cytometry, programmable freezing. Research results can be used for freezing and long-term storage of placental mesenchymal stem cells for further application in clinical practice, for investigating the possible treatment pathological states of humans in Callsthrix jacchus model. The findings testify to a possible preservation of the number, viability and cultural properties of placental mesenchymal stem cells at 20 C for 48 hrs. At hypotermic storage at 4-6 C for 24 hrs. Optimal cryoprotectants for cryopreservation of placental mesenchymal stem cells are dimethyl sulfoxide and propane diol. Optimal cryopreservation regimen is cooling with the arte of 1 C/min.
