Research objects were mesenchymal stem cells of human and marmoset (Callsthrix jacchus) placenta. The research aim was to study cryosensitivity of placental mesenchymal stem cells. In the work there were used modern research methods: cultural, histological, biochemical, flow cytometry, programmable freezing. Research results can be used for freezing and long-term storage of placental mesenchymal stem cells for further application in clinical practice, for investigating the possible treatment pathological states of humans in Callsthrix jacchus model. The findings testify to a possible preservation of the number, viability and cultural properties of placental mesenchymal stem cells at 20 C for 48 hrs. At hypotermic storage at 4-6 C for 24 hrs. Optimal cryoprotectants for cryopreservation of placental mesenchymal stem cells are dimethyl sulfoxide and propane diol. Optimal cryopreservation regimen is cooling with the arte of 1 C/min.
