Description

A subject of the inquiry is towing resistance of the boat model of "Breeze-40" desigh and scaling of results of towing tests on real ship. The aim of the research is determination of model bare hulls boats in the scale of 1:20 and hulls with appandages resistance on forward movement, also scaling of results of model tests for determination of propulsion parameters and engines of real ship. Research methods are experimental research of effective forces in a towing tank, theory of hydrodynamical similarity flows. The basic results: the dependences for models bare hulls, hulls with appandages towing resistance and characteristics of the models equilibrium position on their speed (which range is from 1,7 up to 4,6 m/s) according to the results of the experiment in the NUS towing tank. The scaling of model tests is produced on real ship in the range of speeds of nature from 15 to 40 knots.
