As a result of monitoring during 2012 - 2014 revealed a high incidence of tetanus (0,05-0,04 per 100 thousand.), Including children (0,06-0,03 per 100 thousand.) on the back of reduced diphtheria epidemic process (0,02-0,01 per 100 thousand.), indicating incomplete registration of cases of diphtheria, poor quality of diagnosis and course of hidden epidemic process. Established trend to a sharp decline in vaccination coverage (in 2014 vaccination of children dropped to 31.2 - 0.5% of adults - 2.8%) and intensity of population immunity (the increase of seronegative and conditional protected against diphtheria and tetanus persons in age of 1-2, 5-6, 13-14, 38-57 years, reducing the number of people with high levels of immunity), which creates an unfavorable prognosis for the development of epidemic process of diphtheria and tetanus. Studied the structure of diphtheria susceptibility to antibiotics of different groups. For the first time discovered a direct correlation between bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity of penicillin on C.diphtheriae, the criteria for assessing susceptibility to penicillin dilution method. Carried out measures to support the strains of corynebacteria collection.
