Examined is the role of neoclassical economic theory as a factor of human race dehumanization and global environmental problems aggravation. Grounded are ideological and methodological restructuring preconditions of economic theory on sustainable development basis. Determined is methodological role of "economic system" concept in its human, social-historical and ecological dimensions in economic theory restructuring on sustainable development basis. Explored is the methodology analysis evolution of contemporary economic systems in globalized economy and global environmental problems aggravation. Substantiated are the conceptual foundations of formation of the global economic sustainable development system as strategic object of economic theory, channels of economic development harmonization of mankind and Ukraine. Defined are the priority areas of economic theory development.
