Object of study: the winter triticale and wheat breeding to improving availability for the ethanol production. The aims of research are designing of breeding principles and methods and developing of winter triticale variety special for the production of ethanol, which would characterized by a high content of starch in the grain and high transformation efficiency of bioethanol. Methods of research. Research carried out by standard methods field investigations, and using improved methods of biochemical analysis of grain. Results of research and their novelty. Studied the structure of the starch grain size and the ratio of its components in hybrid offspring.Research in Western Forest-Steppe was carried out at the first time. The work is part of the program "Bioenergy Resources". Theoretical basis developing of bioenergy sources by plant material and technology of its processing. Subprogram "Krohmalenosna biosyrovyna". Triticale is regarded as one of the most promising crops for industrial use for the processing of grain for biofuels along with corn and wheat. The novelty of this work comes down to developing criterions of breeding and estimation of the initial material with high fermentation ability and creating varieties of winter triticale for the bioethanol production.
