Replacement of soybean meal by soybeans decreased microbial protein synthesis, concentration of ammonia, VFA, and lactate in the rumen. Palm oil does not affect of ruminal nitrogen and carbohydrate metabolism. Increased content of dietary fat by soybeans reduced cellulolytic and amylolytic activity in the rumen. Both fat supplements increased the average daily milk yields, but yields converted into fat corrected milk increased only in cows treated with palm oil. Adding to the high fat cows diet 100 g of sodium bicarbonate and 50 g of magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate each increased the pH of ruminal fluid, enhanced fiber degradation and slowed the breakdown of starch. In the milk fat of received soybean fat supplement cows higher level of trans isomers of unsaturated fatty acids was found. Buffer addition reduced the amount of trans-10 and increased the amount of trans-11 isomers. Adding of the buffer increased the milk fat content. Product Description popup.authors Вудмаска І. В.
