Object of study – passenger cars (compartment, non-compartment) of State Enterprise “Donetsk Railway”, that served their service life out – 28 years from the date of building. Object of work – to determine if further operation of cars belonging to State Enterprise “Donetsk railway” is possible. A technical diagnosis of the cars was performed according to “Procedure for technical diagnosis of passenger cars that served their service life out, with a purpose of its extension” ЦЛ- 0070 and approved by the order of Ukrzaliznytsya from 25 of June 2008 by № 304- Ц. Research work results are used when solving a problem concerning extension of passenger cars service life.5481
