The corrosion resistance of dysprosium hafnate pellets and defective absorber rod dummies with their use in tests under conditions close to normal operation conditions of VVER-1000 reactor has been investigated. The corrosion rates of dysprosium hafnate pellets versus density have been determined. The characteristics of absorber rod dummies, structure and property changes of stainless steel and E110 alloy claddings and their compatibility with absorber materials have been studied after the steam-exposure test and vacuum test at the temperatures of 800…1200 С and 1000…1500 С. The investigation confirmed high operational reliability of the developed absorber rod designs up to 1100С
