The article of research is theoretical, methodical and practical questions of improvement of status of employment and social defence of workers of ОСГ. A research object is activity of legislative and executive bodies of power all levels in relation to the decision of problem of employment and social defence working in ОСГ. An aim of work is development of suggestions of relatively legislative and normative settlement of status of employment and social defence of persons in the personal peasant economies. Research : methods statistical, sociological, comparative analysis and calculation-analytical.In-process analysed feature of employment, profits and social defence of population in the personal peasant economies; basic progress and transformation of ОСГ trends are shown in Ukraine; foreign experience of relatively social defence of shallow agricultural commodity producers is studied and analysed; suggestions are prepared, in relation to perfection of status of employment and social defence of members and hired workers of ОСГ. Keywords: employment in the personal peasant economies, "shadow" employment and profits, status of employment and social defence of members and hired workers of the personal peasant economies.
