The essence of the Copyright Law (in narrow and enlarged sense) was detailed on the basics of analysis of the statements of the current legislation, practice of their application and theoretical sources; Category of "creative capacity" was highlighted with the conditions of its implementation; Features of property and non-property rights in the sphere of Copyright Law were revealed; the legal status of subjects of Copyright Law was detailed; features of objects of Copyright Law; criteria of the defendability were emphasized as the part of the work. The essence of plagiarism was extended, its essential sides, concepts and essence of assignment of the Copyright and its difference from other actions, which go against the Copyright Law and Right for a name; reasons and directions of the prevention of the scientific plagiarism were determined. The essence of piracy and contrafaction in the sphere of Copyright Law and adjoining rights was revealed.
