The main objective of the work - to develop new ways of preparing functionalized derivatives of 2-alkilpyrymidins by forming C-C bonds by reacting 2-thiouracil with haloalkanes activated by electron-withdrawing groups (carbonyl, nitrile, ester), and the condensation of 2- (2-oxo-2-arilethyiliden ) -2,3-dihydropyrimidine-4 (3H) -ones with aldehydes. The conditions for the reaction of 6-methyl-2-thiouracil with activated haloalkanes, whereby developed a convenient one-pot method for synthesizing 2-alkylidene-1,3-dihydropyrimidine-4-ones. Found that the reaction of 6-methyl-2-thiouracil with bromo-cyano-acetic- acid ethyl ester in a neutral medium leads to the formation of the corresponding alkilidenederivative and in an alkaline medium leads to the formation product of intramolecular cyclization -3-amino-7-methyl-2-ethoxycarbonylthyazolo[3,2-alfa]pyrimidin-7-one. Reaction of 6-methyl-2-thiouracil with halogen beta-dicarbonyl compounds, depending on the conditions accompanied by either hydrolysis or acid decomposition products of S-alkylation. Found that the direction of the alkylation reaction 6-methyl-2-(2-oxo-2-phenylethyliden)-2,3-dihydro-1Н-pyrimidin-4-one depends on the nature of the alkylating reagent. Interaction of 6-methyl-2-(2-oxo-2-arylethylidene)-2,3-dihydro-1Н-pyrimidin-4-ones with benzaldehyde, p-bromobenzaldehyde, nicotinic aldehyde and furfural leads to formation of unsaturated ketones, and in acid catalysis conditions, the reaction of 6-methyl-2-(2-oxo-2-phenylethyliden)-2,3-dihydro-1Н- pyrimidin-4-ones with p- and m-nitrobenzaldehydes leads to the formation of trans-2-stirilpyrimidins.
