Description

The object of study - the inhomogeneity of the ionosphere. The goal - to develop a method of radio sounding of the ionospheric plasma GNSS signal transmitters. Methodology - Multi-synchronous radio sounding of the ionosphere GNSS signals. Results: at the observatories RI NASU installed and tested dual-frequency GNSS receivers ability to work on restoring the variations of the total electron content (TEC) as an element of sub-satellite monitoring of the ionosphere. Scientific novelty: the development of regional maps of the spatial and temporal distribution of the total electron content. Scope of use - sub-satellite system for monitoring the ionosphere within of nationally and international space missions
