The object of research: current state and the increase of efficiency of forest-seed base of woody species using Research objective: determining the current state objects of permanent forest-seed base and expansion of the forest breeding and seed industry original database with using improved methods of involving the creation, evaluation and use of such objects. Research methods and techniques: methods of individual and mass selection and hybridization, silvicultural, taxational, morphological, anatomical and cytological using field and laboratory equipment's analysis of the actual condition of 319 plus trees of 8 species, 5 plus stands of 3 species, and also of evaluating the best individuals and populations according to growth and development of their progenies from 28 test plots of Pinus sylvestris, Quercus robur and petraea, Pinus and Quercus hybrids and other trial plots have been improved the methodological approaches to the selection, creation and management of forest-seed objects; 1204. Theoretic results and practical effects, feature of novelty: on base of candidates to plus trees of 6 species selected in highly productive stands, progeny and variety tests, 6 forms of Juglans regia, 8 constant forest-seed stands of Quercus robur; 54 seed orchards of 6 species and 7 mother plantation will serve as a source of improved seeds for establishment of forest plantations; according to results of plus trees progenies testing, plantations, orchards have been selected 37 plus trees - candidates for the elite, 3 clonal seed orchards - candidates in varieties.Efficiency of implementation: Using in forestry improved seeds from the objects of the constant forest-seed base and new sorts seeds will increase the plantations productivity by 6 - 10%, improve the protective and other useful properties of the forests.
