Computational studies performed on a mathematical model, effectiveness of the catalytic converter analyzed when driving in an urban European Driving Cycle. Eight-cylinder gas engines (diameter cylinder -100 mm, piston stroke - 88 mm) with experimental catalytic converter were investigated on the stand. The results of theoretical and experimental studies were summarized and implemented, recommendations developed for future research.
