The main methods are: reconstruction of the parent languages conditions; comparative method to analyze the interlingual closeness / distance; social and linguistic method to analyze the parallels between language situations in Ukraine and other countries. Theoretical results of the scientific researches are the contribution to social and linguistic, comparative and historical investigation of the Ukrainian language, and also such applied aspects of the linguistics as corpus linguistics and lexicographical practise. The novelty of the project's researches is it that for the first time it determines the regularities and the differences in the formation of the linguistic picture of the world of the Ukrainians, the British, the German, the Turks and representatives of the other ethnic cultures. The results were used in books, manuals, and during the teaching of the comparative typology of English and Ukrainian languages, Turkish and Ukrainian languages, Modern Greek and Ukrainian languages.
