Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 It was determined that disseminated tumor cells (DTCS) in bone marrow (BM) are detected in 51,4% of patients with M0 category. The presence of DTCs correlates with hypoxia level in gastric cancer tissue. Overall survival of patients with M0 аnd DTCs is more worse than that of patients without DTCs. The high number of CD8+ and CD45RO+ Т lymphocytes in tumor inversely correlates with presence of DTCS in BM and is associated with better survival of patients. The high number of CD8+ cells in tumor is a factor for favorable disease outcome. The decrease of lysophosphatidylcholine concentration in serum of gastric cancer patients and its association with course of the disease was observed that allows to use this index in the monitoring the state of patients. The inhibition of cytoplasmic expression of c-myc in tumor under severe hypoxia was determined. It was shown that nuclear overexpression of c-myc under satisfactory oxygenation is associated with the worse survival of patients. Hypoxia of primary tumor negatively influence is associated with the efficacy of different therapy methods: both operation alone and adjuivant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Our early data were confirmed that MMP-2 activity in BM without DTCs is lower by a factor of 3 than that in BM with DTCs. It was shown the inverse correlation between MMP-2 activity in tumor and the number of CD8+ аnd CD45RO+ Т lymphocytes. High activity of MMP-2 that is associated with low number of T lymphocytes is linked with low survival of patients. Indices of patients survival with the presence of CD8+ and CD45RO+ T cells in BM are better that those of patients with the absence of these cells in BM. Obtained results have a priority: the link between tumor hypoxia and DTCs in patients with М0 category, inverse correlation between the number of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and tumor hypoxia level, positive influence of ММP-2 in BM on the DTCs appearance in BM, presence of CD8+ T lymphocytes in BM as a factor of control of tumor dormancy in gastric cancer patients was determined for the first time. Test-system for detection of early (dormant) metastasis and prognosis of tumor process outcome, in particular of probability of recurrence in gastric cancer patients was recommended Product Description popup.authors
