By making use of the method of generalized functions and reduction to the Volterra integral equations, an explicit solution to the quasi-static thermoelasticity problem for a long solid multilayer cylinder with free lateral surface and uniformly distributed temperature is constructed for the arbitrary radial inhomogeneity of each layer. Analytical solutions to the non-stationary heat-conduction problem for a plate with bilateral multilayer coating under convective heating are constructed for arbitrary temperatures of the surrounding media. A problem on determination of the non-stationary temperature field and thermo-stressed state in a continuously-inhomogeneous long hollow cylinder by the temperature and radial displacement on one of the limiting surfaces is formulated for the case when the thermal loading of the another surface remains unknown. On the basis of direct integration method for basic equations of the elasticity and thermoelasticity theories, a technique for solution of the plane problems for an arbitrarily-inhomogeneous and orthotropic strip is developed for the case of given boundary displacements of mixed boundary conditions.
