The object of study - the formation of modern Ukrainian nation. Subject of investigation - E rovozzrencheskie and socio-cultural bases of formation modern Ukrainian nation. The purpose of research is to uncover philosophical and socio-cultural grounds of formation of modern Ukrainian nation, which will bring together around the Ukrainian ethnic nation other ethnic groups in the consolidated contemporary (modern) social organism. For this CONSIDERATION provides theoretical and methodological bases of research of the formation of nouveau-Ukra Insskoy nation, understanding of spiritual rebirth factors and consolidation of the Ukrainian community, the study of social and cultural aspects of national development in the context of European integration of Ukrainian society and the state. To solve the tasks used were complementary research methods: historical, comparative, systemic, synergistic, ethno-political, logical analysis and synthesis of scientific literature. The most significant results that include novelty, is to establish a dual - ethno-political - nature of the modern Ukrainian nation, the disclosure of the heuristic potential of the concept of "modern Ukrainian nation", the modern definition of the content of the Ukrainian national idea, its main components, the study of the impact of mental and religious factors on spiritual revival Ukrainians, substantiating the role of historical memory and taditsy in the national culture, determining the prospects for adaptation political, ethno-political iekologicheskoy components of national culture to the values of the European Union and European civilization in general.
